A truck-mounted dewatering machine (mobile sludge dewatering truck) is a mobile industrial vehicle designed to pull wet sludge, slurry, or wastewater directly from pit sites, treat it on-board using mechanical dewatering technology, and produce a dry mud cake alongside clear effluent water.
Primary Working Principles
- Extraction & Intake: Slurry or sludge is drawn from a manhole, septic tank, or lagoon into the vehicle via an intake pump or high-vacuum blower.
- Chemical Flocculation: The liquid sludge enters an internal mixing tank where polymer/flocculant is added. This binds fine suspended solids into larger clumps (flocs), separating the water phase from the solids.
- Mechanical Separation: The conditioned sludge passes through an integrated mechanical press, squeezing water out under high pressure
- Discharge: The resulting dry "mud cake" is dropped into a holding bay or big-bag container on the chassis, while the filtered liquid is either returned to the pit or redirected into a clean-water supply
