New Delhi: The AAP Supremo and CM of Delhi Sri Arvind Kejriwal has put many initiatives to tackle issues that have been haunting New Delhi for past many decades. Shri Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday inaugurated one of the most modern and efficient cleaning mechanisms. The truck-mounted anti-smog gun strives to remove the worsening dust pollution. The city has seen deterioration in its air quality and the PPM level is creating much of the health issues. The anti-smog gun gulps water up to 5,000 litre which it carries on a BS-VI emission truck. It works continuously for 3-4 hours. The initiative is taken under Delhi’s Government “Yuddh, Pradushan ke Virudh” which is a war against pollution campaign. The PWD has installed 23 anti-smog guns at major intersections and across the construction sites across Delhi.
However, the experts have defamed the objective behind it by stating the limited ability of smog towers as it reduce pollution only to a certain extent. Delhi has been known to record the poorest AQI a day after Diwali for many years.
